Pointillism in the class!

I was looking for pictures related to art projects in the class the other day when I came across some examples of word pointillism, just like this one here: http://www.childs.mccsc.edu/art98/art3p4a1.htm The moment I saw it I thought how great it would be to use it with students as an alternative to the traditional method of copying new vocabulary in their notebooks. They will also end up writing down the words more times than you’ve actually asked them to without realizing it! (how mean is that?:) You can even combine this with story writing where students get the chance to draw and write the background of their story at the same time!
